The Celtic prayer labyrinth is a contemplative prayer tool that deepens engagement with Celtic Daily Prayer, fostering gratitude for the roots and routes of Celtic Christianity.  It encourages focus on the heritage of Celtic saints like Oswald, Aidan, Cuthbert and Hild. St Oswald, a Christian king, brought monks from Iona to Lindisfarne, spreading Christianity in Northumbria. Bede notes his tomb was marked by Britain's oldest known flag, a gold and purple banner, hence the colouring of this finger-labyrinth. Gold is linked with illumination, love, compassion, courage, passion and wisdom. It stands for what is precious and valuable, majesty, joy, celebration and the presence of God. Purple signifies pain, suffering, mourning, and penitence, yet also represents Lent, courage, resilience and royalty. The labyrinth comes in a cellophane bag with instructions included.
