    Caim: A4 signed print

    ,
Background: Artist Mary Fleeson tells us that...'"Caim" was originally designed as a CD cover for an album of prayers set to music by the same name, therefore the imagery reflects themes of the music included, however as is often the case the illustration evolved into something which speaks beyond the obvious inspiration. The hand seems to reach out in a loving, gentle gesture to caress the face of the Creator, symbolised by the star (Revelation 22:16 ‘I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.’). The complex knotwork intersperses three overlapping circles which represent the Trinity and the patterns and colours are life patterns, weaving and merging, coloured by experiences, actions and reactions.' Printing and Sizing: This item is 210mm x 297mm and is printed on 300gsm card stock using our in-house printer. Each print is individually signed by Mary Fleeson and is packaged in a cellophane wrapper with a descriptive backing sheet explaining more about the piece and the Scriptorium.

Source: "The Lord's Prayer in the Principal Languages, Dialects and Versions of the World, printed in Type and Vernaculars of the Different Nations, compiled and published by G.F. Bergholtz", Chicago, Illinois, 1884. Translation for ‘Our Father’: Our Father in heaven rich, Thy name be blessed I wish, Lead us Lord into thy bliss, Let us never thy riches miss. Let us Lord accept alone That thy will be ever done Also as it is in heaven In earth may it be even, The heaven bread that lasteth today Give us Lord this same day, Forgive us Lord to our bone All that we have here misdone, Also as we wisely forgave While we in this world live All that here us misdo And we beseech thee too, Lead us Lord to our testing And shield us from all evil thing. The modern version interwoven with the old: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. From the Church of England ‘Common Worship’ publications, published by Church House. Celtic Candles: Greetings card

    ,
A square greetings card with envelope in a cellophane bag. The card has a print of original artwork by Francesca Ross, who writes: "Candles have importance as a symbol or focus at all times of year, but at Christmas, they are especially a reminder of the significance of the birth of Jesus as the Light of the world. For this design I wanted to have three candles, for the Trinity, richly decorated with patterns from or inspired by those in the Book of Kells, a reminder of John 1:5, that God's light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome or even comprehend it."

Three Gifts for the King of Kings: Greetings card

    ,
A square greetings card with envelope in a cellophane bag. The card has a print of original artwork by Francesca Ross, who writes: "I wanted to create a design that had a rotational symmetry, that took the eye round the design, with a swirl of rich colours, and highlighted the three gifts - gold, frankincense and myrrh - that were brought to Jesus by the Wise Men following the guidance of the Star. They came from the East, so I looked at the designs used in Persian carpets, and included them - flowers for the garden of Eden, leaves for the Tree of Life or eternity, stars for happiness, birds for power and strength, and the boteh or flower buds for regeneration."

Spirit of God: A4 signed print

    ,
When Jesus was baptised the Holy Spirit appeared as a dove according to Luke 3:22 and as fire in Acts 2:1-6. and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” NIV Luke 3:22 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them. Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. NIV Acts 2:1-6 Printing and Sizing: This item is 210mmX297mm and is printed on 300gsm card stock using our in-house printer. Each print is individually signed by Mary Fleeson and is packaged in a cellophane wrapper with a descriptive backing sheet explaining more about the piece and the Scriptorium.

Love is Patient: A4 signed print

    ,
This beautiful print by Mary Fleeson includes the words, 'Love is always patient and kind. Love is not boastful or conceited. It is never rude, and never seeks its own advantage. It does not take offence or store up grievances. Love does not rejoice in wrong doing but finds its joy in the truth. It always ready to make allowances, to trust, to hope and to endure whatever comes. These remain: faith, hope and love, and the greatest is love'. It is based on 1 Corinthians 13 (v. 4-13). A good exercise is to replace the word 'love' with your own name to see if you are fulfilling the words yourself - It's not an easy task but one worth aspiring to! Or you can replace the word Love with the word 'Jesus' to learn more about the character of Jesus. The print is 210mm X 297mm (w x h) and is printed on 300gsm card stock. Each print is individually signed by Mary Fleeson and is packaged in a cellophane wrapper with a descriptive backing sheet explaining more about the piece and the Scriptorium.

    Christ-centred Living: A4 signed print

    ,
Background: This piece was the result of meditating on what defines a Christ centred life . I wanted to show the fruitfulness that comes from a life rooted in the cross of Christ and the refreshment and cleansing available to us. In the spirals I wanted to express the vibrancy of a Christ-centred life and four aspects of life; birth, death, spirituality and growth. Each arm of the spiral, each aspect of life, is cross hatched and bumpy with patches of light and dark, showing the erratic nature of living. Each arm ends but its outline turns back towards the cross, showing that everything came from God and returns to God. Printing and Sizing: This item is 210mmX297mm and is printed on 300gsm card stock using our in-house printer. Each print is individually signed by Mary Fleeson and is packaged in a cellophane wrapper with a descriptive backing sheet explaining more about the piece and the Scriptorium.

This book is a collection of her teachings, along with decorative paintings of the flower arrangements that accompany them. It can be read as a daily devotional, with an inspiring message and illustrations to start each day. Or the reader can reproduce the flower arrangements as a beautiful way to share the good news of Jesus with those around.
