Created: 2014 Psalm 121 A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip – he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm – he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and for evermore. Background: The words of Psalm 121 are a great comfort to believers even today. To be reassured that the God who created you cares enough about you, as an individual, to keep a protective eye on your daily activities is wonderful. But what about the times when we feel abandoned? The times when we feel like the ground beneath us is crumbling and God is perhaps too busy elsewhere to be concerned about our little life? Those are the times when we need to read those words and see them as more than comfort, they are in fact a promise. Jesus said to His disciples, and therefore to his followers today, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Life may not always be easy, we were never promised that, but we are not expected to live God’s will in our own strength, our ‘help comes from the Lord’ in many diverse ways, sometimes we just have to be willing to accept it. Printing and Sizing: This item is 210mm x 297mm and is printed on 300gsm card stock using our in-house printer. Each print is individually signed by Mary Fleeson and is packaged in a cellophane wrapper with a descriptive backing sheet explaining more about the piece and the Scriptorium.

This beautiful print by Mary Fleeson includes the words, 'Love is always patient and kind. Love is not boastful or conceited. It is never rude, and never seeks its own advantage. It does not take offence or store up grievances. Love does not rejoice in wrong doing but finds its joy in the truth. It always ready to make allowances, to trust, to hope and to endure whatever comes. These remain: faith, hope and love, and the greatest is love'. It is based on 1 Corinthians 13 (v. 4-13). A good exercise is to replace the word 'love' with your own name to see if you are fulfilling the words yourself - It's not an easy task but one worth aspiring to! Or you can replace the word Love with the word 'Jesus' to learn more about the character of Jesus. The print is 210mm X 297mm (w x h) and is printed on 300gsm card stock.
