We were amazed at the drama of the fiery sky and could easily imagine a less informed society being attributing its source to dragons!' Brendan and his companions spent years on the sea as they searched for, and eventually found, the promised land. In Psalm 31, King David in the midst of difficulty places his trust in God recalling that his times are in God’s hands. Likewise we are called to trust God in the dark and difficult desert days we can find ourselves in.

Whether that ‘something’ is spiritual meaning, true love, happiness, security or day to day needs, God, in the man Jesus, promised that if we allow the Spirit of God into our lives then not only will our needs be met one way or another (since our idea of how to improve matters may not be God’s ways), but we will live forever with Him.
